Since 2014, Terra Creta has been closely cooperating with a dedicated group of farmers to share knowledge and improve olive cultivation practices. This collaboration evolved in 2023 into the Terra Creta Olive Academy, an initiative aimed at supporting and educating olive farmers in Crete with a focus on, sustainable and high-quality olive oil production.
In partnership with ELGO Dimitra, an organization of the Ministry of Agriculture of Greece, and Neuropublic, a smart agriculture service provider specializing in olive cultivation, the Academy strives to increase both the quality and quantity of olive oil produced in Crete.
This collaboration is built on the goal of making the Cretan olive-growing cultivation more sustainable for the future.

The Terra Creta Olive Academy serves as a hub for knowledge-sharing, offering a range of educational resources to olive farmers. It focuses on sustainable farming practices through the Terra Creta Sustainable Olive Cultivation Protocol and aims to integrate smart farming techniques to enhance efficiency and sustainability. This includes using eco-friendly fertilizers and precision agriculture tools like agrometeorological stations and mobile apps that provide real-time data to farmers. The ultimate goal is to reduce environmental footprints, improve soil health, and produce high-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
As part of its educational initiatives, Terra Creta provides year-round monitoring and guidance from expert agronomists, free of charge, to farmers in a contract-farming program. A transparent incentive system rewards farmers for high-quality production, encouraging them to prioritize quality and sustainability while securing future profitability.
Since 2024, the Academy has launched a pilot project focusing on regenerative agriculture in organic olive groves. This approach aims to restore soil health, reduce environmental impact, and produce superior food, aligning with Terra Creta’s commitment to long-term environmental protection.
